The Kendall Lighting Center in LaPorte, Indiana has been serving the community since 1998. The 5000 square foot lighting showroom houses many unique features, including a state-of-the-art “light lab”, where homeowners and contractors can compare different styles of overhead lighting. The showroom also boasts a landscape room, designed to demonstrate the effects of lighting in a nighttime setting. The showroom displays a vast array of lighting styles and manufactures in a vignette style, a layout that showcases a family of lights as they might be accessorized and displayed in the home. Our Lighting Consultants are anxiously awaiting to offer their knowledge and expertise in helping the customer select from over 75 different lighting manufacturers.

Jim - Location Manager

Jim has been with Kendall Electric since 1993. He has held many positions, including warehouse manager and inside sales, before advancing to location manager in 2007. His main experience lies in project quotation and management. He has a vast knowledge of electrical product information and a strong background in product research. Jim takes pride in thoroughly providing for the customers wants and needs.

Sue - Certified Lighting Consultant

Sue began her lighting career 20 years ago. In 1998, she joined the Kendall team in the opening of the LaPorte store. Sue was awarded her Lighting Specialist Certification in 2002 and then preceded in 2004 to become a Certified Lighting Consultant. Sue works with customers throughout the preplanning and selection process on many projects. Her background allows her to search for single parts or fixtures, select condominium packages, and to assist with whole house lighting appointments. Sue believes in exceeding customer expectations. Due to the different tastes and needs of the customer, this allows her creativity and design skills to help customers find the perfect light.

Roxann - Lighting Specialist

Roxann is a newcomer to both Kendall Electric and the lighting industry. She joined Kendall in the summer of 2006, bringing with her over 17 years of retail experience. Roxann has attended Purdue University and the University of Iowa majoring in economics. Roxann enjoys both working with customers and helping to design the showroom at LaPorte. She takes pride in the fact that she is able to help the customer through the whole process of lighting a new home, and to see the end result.
